No prior experience or swimming skills are required. The activity includes complete equipment (wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, and paddle), a pre-trip safety briefing, and professional guides throughout the trip. Frequently Asked Questions about Rafting in Bariloche
Do I need previous rafting experience?
No, not at all. Rafting Bariloche is designed specifically for people who have never rafted before. The sections we travel are Class I-II (the gentlest), ideal for beginners. Before entering the water, we give you a complete safety briefing where we explain how to paddle, what to do in each situation, and how to follow the guide's instructions. You don't need to know how to swim or be in any special physical condition.
Can I go with children? Is it safe for families?
Yes, it's one of our most popular experiences with families. Children aged 6 and up can participate when accompanied by an adult. The sections are calm, without any aggressive rapids, and the guides are trained to accompany families with children. We include equipment adapted to each size (life jacket, helmet, and wetsuit) to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.
How does Rafting Bariloche differ from other rafting options in the area?
Rafting Bariloche focuses on first-timers. While other options emphasize more intense rapids or technical expeditions, we offer an accessible, pressure-free experience centered on the scenery and safety. It's rafting at its gentlest: ideal if you want to try it without committing to something demanding, if you're traveling with children, or if you simply want to enjoy the river without stress.
How much does rafting cost in Bariloche?
"Rafting Light," designed for those who have never paddled before, starts at $89,500. If you already have experience and are looking for more action, "Rafting to the Limit" starts at $149,500.
